We are looking for Fibre Optic Technician to join an existing team of Engineers and Technicians working on Melita outside FTTH projects. The Fibre Optic Technicians will assemble, maintain, and repair fibre optic cables and related equipment within Melita network.

Installation and termination of fibre cable systems in underground manholes, aerial plant using ladders/bucket trucks and on customer sites. Installing CWDM/DWDM/GPON Passives in street cabinets.

Installation and termination of fibre cable systems in underground manholes, aerial plant using ladders/bucket trucks and on customer sites.
→
Installing CWDM/DWDM/GPON Passives in street cabinets.
→
Patching of GPON Active equipment to fibre distribution network.
→
Installing all types of connectors including fast connectors.
→
Performing fusion splicing of fibre optic cabling.
→
Performing pre and post tests on all installed or existing networks using OTDR and power meter.
→
Preparing cable into closures and fan-out and prepare bare fibre.
→
Troubleshoot preventative/emergency issues on fibre optic.
→
Installation and patching of Active equipment to fibre distribution network.
→
Documenting and verifying that optical light levels are as per design parameters.
