About the Role

~1 min read

Our Technical Project Manager III acts as both Scrum Master and Product Owner on their Scrum team, with a passion for product design, development, and technical excellence. You'll step into an established, mature product team — owning existing processes, identifying where to improve them, and serving as the trusted voice between the development team, product leadership, and stakeholders. Because our Product team and engineering team work across different time zones, this role blends Scrum Master and Product Owner responsibilities so the team always has a clear, present point of accountability.

Responsibilities

~2 min read
  • Lead projects from inception to close — planning timelines, prioritizing work, and managing partner expectations.
  • Facilitate productive discussions with cross-functional teams to establish requirements and evaluate design alternatives.
  • Write, groom, and prioritize user stories, documenting requirements with strong business understanding and attention to detail.
  • Lead all Scrum team activities and manage related artifacts.
  • Drive process efficiency and on-time delivery of roadmap items.
  • Guide the delivery team in executing defined requirements, remove blockers, and proactively identify and communicate risk to leadership.
  • Define and drive testing across impacted teams, including coordination of User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Own product release planning and release notes.
  • Partner closely with the US Product Development Management team to understand and convey product strategy and direction to your development team.
  • Support the development team in delivering customer value, and implement Mitratech's Product Development MiSOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
  • Coach your Scrum team(s) toward self-organization and high performance, building a safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame.
  • Facilitate technical problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution.
  • Champion AI enablement within your team — introducing tools and practices for automated workflow generation, AI-assisted code review support, intelligent backlog management, and AI-driven retrospective insights, while building your team's AI fluency over time.
  • Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager, Scrum Master, or hybrid TPM/Product Owner on a software product team.
  • Strong technical fluency — you understand what your team's tickets and systems actually involve. You don't need to be a developer, but you need enough technical grounding to credibly evaluate scope, risk, and trade-offs alongside engineers.
  • Clear, concise communication. You can distil a problem, your recommendation, and the path forward quickly — this is non-negotiable for working closely with leadership daily.
  • A genuinely inquisitive approach — you ask the right questions, understand team capacity, and proactively flag risk before it's a surprise.
  • Hands-on, practical experience using AI tools in a work context — deep expertise isn't required, but real working familiarity is.
  • Comfort stepping into a mature, established team and improving existing processes rather than building from scratch.
  • Experience driving release planning, release notes, and UAT coordination across multiple teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including comfort communicating risk and trade-offs directly to leadership.

Nice to Have

~1 min read
  • Experience working with distributed/global teams across time zones.
  • Experience operating as a combined Scrum Master + Product Owner liaison.
  • Familiarity with SOPs or similar process frameworks.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration with a focus on IT/Project Management. We value proven experience just as much as the degree itself — if you have the track record but not the diploma, tell us your story.
  • Certifications that add extra value: Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), PMI-ACP, PMP, or SAFe Scrum Master.
  • Advanced English (C1): you'll collaborate daily with our global Product team, so fluency in technical English is key.

We are an equal-opportunity employer that values diversity at all levels. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or veteran status.
