At Mood Health, we are working to make mental health care easier to access.
For many people, reaching out for help is a big step. Our goal is to make that step feel simple, supportive, and welcoming.
Our clinicians, including psychiatric nurse practitioners and therapists, provide therapy and medication management through secure video visits. Before someone ever meets their provider, they usually speak with someone on our team first.
That first conversation matters.
As a Behavioral Health Patient Experience Specialist, you'll often be the first person someone speaks to after deciding to seek mental health care. Your ability to listen, build trust, and help patients feel supported can make a lasting impact on their care journey.
If you're pursuing a career in behavioral health, counseling, psychology, social work, or marriage and family therapy, this role offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience while helping people access care every day.
About the Role
~1 min readWe are looking for a compassionate, motivated, and organized Behavioral Health Patient Experience Specialist to join our team.
This role is ideal for someone pursuing a degree in psychology, social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or another behavioral health field who wants meaningful experience working directly with individuals seeking mental health care. We also offer flexible scheduling that can work around your class schedule, making this a great opportunity for students looking to gain relevant experience while completing their education.
You'll serve as the first point of contact for prospective patients referred by our healthcare partners, helping them understand our services, answer questions, navigate insurance and scheduling, and guide them toward beginning treatment.
You'll develop valuable skills in patient communication, motivational interviewing, behavioral health operations, care coordination, and working alongside licensed mental health professionals—all while making a real difference in people's lives.
This role is a good fit for someone who is self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working toward clear goals. Our team has monthly scheduling goals, so we’re looking for someone who can stay on top of their work, communicate well with patients, and contribute to the team’s overall goals.
