As a Materials & Welding Engineer within the Quality Management team, you are responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of materials, welding, and fabrication processes across our projects and supply chain. You combine technical expertise with a quality driven mindset and translate requirements into practical and compliant solutions.

Responsibilities

·       Provide technical support to internal stakeholders (e.g. Engineering, Supply, R&D) on materials, welding, and fabrication matters.

·       Conduct supplier audits, shop surveys, and support suppliers’ development to comply with NEM standards

·       Perform supplier visits to discuss technical issues and conduct pre-fabrication meetings

·       Review client specifications to assess fabrication impact and potential cost implications; draft project specifications to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and client requirements

·       Review suppliers’ documentation, specifically handle technical queries, suppliers’ deviation requests and non-conformities

·       Perform root cause analysis of failures, arrange laboratory examinations, and provide clear reporting on findings and corrective or preventive actions.

·       Maintain and update NEM standard specifications for fabrication and supply and purchase of materials

·       Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements

·       Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in materials science, mechanical or chemical engineering

·       At least 5 years in materials, welding, or quality management

·       International Welding Engineering (IWE)

·       Technical expertise and experience in materials selection, welding processes, and fabrication methods

·       Knowledge of international codes and standards (ASME, AWS, ISO, EN)

·       Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken

·       Willingness to travel abroad occasionally
