We are seeking a FP&A Analyst to join our Finance Team. The FP&A Analyst will support the FP&A team across budgeting, management reporting, cost control, and business performance monitoring. The role offers broad exposure to the Group's maritime and logistics operations, including direct involvement in cross-functional business development teams that evaluate new opportunities. This is a hands-on analytical role suited to a detail-oriented finance professional who is eager to grow within a dynamic, operationally complex environment.
Reporting directly to Financial Planning and Analysis Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Reporting
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and periodic management accounts and performance reports, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Report and assist in further developing KPIs across business units.
- Support the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting cycles, coordinating inputs from business units.
- Perform variance analysis (actual vs. budget/forecast), identifying key drivers and preparing clear commentary for management.
Financial Modelling & Data Analysis
- Maintain, update, and improve financial models, templates, and reporting tools.
- Work with large datasets using Excel and BI tools to extract, consolidate, and present financial information.
- Ensure the integrity and consistency of financial data across systems and reports.
Business Partnering & Ad Hoc Analysis
- Collaborate with operational and commercial departments to gather financial inputs and support decision-making.
- Participate in cross-functional business development teams, contributing financial analysis and supporting the preparation of business cases and investment assessments.
- Support the FP&A Manager and Assistant Financial Controller with ad hoc financial projects and analysis as required.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in ship management companies with exposure to maritime, shipping, logistics, or other capital-intensive industries.
- Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; comfortable working with large datasets.
- Solid understanding of financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) and core financial concepts.
- Familiarity with ERP systems; experience with Microsoft Dynamics Navision (Business Central) will be considered a strong asset.
- Experience with BI tools (e.g. Power BI) or financial reporting platforms.

- High attention to detail with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines.
- Effective communicator with the ability to work collaboratively across departments and functions.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, commercially driven environment.
