Senior Procurement Manager / Analyst

NextGen Federal Systems is seeking a Senior Procurement Manager / Analyst to work with us supporting our DHS customer in Washington, DC.  The Senior Procurement Manager / Analyst provides strategic and operational procurement support for the Tethered Aerostat Radar System (TARS) Program. This position oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of procurement actions in accordance with federal acquisition regulations. The Senior Procurement Manager / Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring compliance, cost-efficiency, and timely delivery of contract requirements in support of the mission. 

Lead procurement planning activities, including development of Statements of Work (SOW), IGCEs, and acquisition strategies.

Oversee the preparation and review of procurement documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with FAR and DHS policies.

Coordinate with contracting officers and program stakeholders to support timely and effective contract awards.

Monitor procurement milestones and maintain acquisition tracking systems.

Support subcontractor sourcing, evaluation, and performance oversight.

Provide procurement status reports, risk assessments, and recommendations to senior leadership.

Ensure cost efficiency through market research, vendor competition, and contract optimization.

Bachelor’s degree in acquisition, supply chain management, or a closely related discipline.

Master’s preferred

Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.

A minimum of 15 years of experience in the following:

In-depth understanding of federal procurement regulations and practices.

Experience with DHS or DoD acquisition environments.

Excellent organizational and documentation skills.

Strong leadership, communication, and analytical abilities.

Ability to manage multiple complex procurement actions under tight timelines.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint.

Positive adjudication from a CBP Background Investigation.

Position requires some travel.
