Location: This is an onsite role based at Nextiva’s Bengaluru office (Wilshire III by MFAR, 492, Hobli, RHB Colony, Mahadevapura, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560048). Working together onsite strengthens how we operate, enabling faster decisions, clearer communication, and stronger execution, so you can make a greater impact and move work forward with speed and clarity. 

Responsibilities

  • Working in tandem with the Engineering team to identify and implement optimal cloud-based solutions for the company
  • Managing cloud environments in accordance with security guidelines
  • Educating teams on the implementation of new cloud-based initiatives and providing relevant training
  • Staying current with industry trends and making recommendations to help the company excel
  • Promoting and training best practices with software development teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience
  • 8+ years of software development or DevOps experience
  • AWS/GCP Solutions Architect, Cloud Security, OpenStack Administrator and/or other cloud-related certification(s) required
  • Expert level experience with cloud container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, GKE/ECS or related is required.
  • CI/CD and related experience with Jenkins, Github, Nexus, or similar technologies is required.
  • Experience implementing middleware technologies like Kafka, Redis, RabbitMQ and NGINX.
  • Strong software engineering experience including client/server web development (HTML, JavaScript, Java), server administration, programming and automation.
  • Working knowledge of relational and non-relational databases.
  • Experience with application performance monitoring and logging tools like Datadog, Splunk, ELK.
  • Strong awareness of networking and internet protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP and distributed networks.
  • Extensive experience with open-source technology, software development and system engineering.
  • Ability to excel both individually and as a team player in a fast paced, self-directed, constantly evolving environment.
  • Ability to focus on key priorities, plan, organize, schedule and execute on tasks and projects in an efficient and productive manner.
  • Ability to scope out what is needed for each assignment or activity, identify and make use of people, resources and tools that can be leveraged.
  • Excellent time management skills with the proven ability to prioritize, handle multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines while delivering high quality results.
  • Demonstrate good judgment in solving problems, identifying problems in advance, and proposing solutions.
  • Highly organized, detail oriented, adaptable and quick-thinking with a proactive approach, an enterprise focus, an understanding of shifting business needs and the ability to change priorities with ease.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate knowledgeably and effectively.
  • Ability to manage multiple channels of communication simultaneously such as phone, email, tickets and chat.
