The Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Education and Standards team sets and maintains the requirements for education, training, conduct, and performance for nurses, midwives, and nursing associates across the UK

Your role and Impact

This role will ensure the safe and effective quality assurance of programmes delivered by approved education institutions (AEIs), including approval and monitoring, in line with the NMC’s Quality Assurance Framework.

The post holder will focus on the coordination and delivery of the NMC’s education monitoring strategy. This work will ensure that all providers of NMC approved education programmes are complying with all required standards, in accordance with the Council’s statutory duties.

What you'll bring

As the Education Monitoring Specialist, you’ll be able to:

Take leadership responsibility for the planning and delivery of defined education monitoring processes, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
Autonomously assess information, data and intelligence while undertaking monitoring visits and other monitoring activities, undertaking in-depth analysis at pace, and making clear, evidence-based judgements about required action when concerns are identified.
Ensure the defined monitoring process(es) you are responsible for are well governed, including timely follow up across the devolved legislatures of the UK.
Coordinate and oversee Education Quality Assurance Officers in a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the programme monitoring process is standardised, consistent and effect.
