We are seeking a Demand Planner – North America Retail to support the regional demand and inventory strategy for Ōura’s North America retail business across key partners including Best Buy, Amazon, Target, Costco, Canada, and other strategic accounts.

In this individual contributor role, you will own core forecasting, replenishment planning, and inventory analysis for North America retail. You will translate point-of-sale, inventory, promotional, and commercial signals into clear demand plans and actionable recommendations. You will partner closely with Retail, GTM, Supply Planning, Finance, and Product to improve forecast quality, support launches and promotions, and help maintain healthy in-channel inventory.

This role is ideal for someone who is strong in detail, comfortable working across large and imperfect data sets, and excited to help build more scalable planning processes as Ōura’s retail business continues to grow.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain weekly, monthly, and quarterly sell-through and sell-in forecasts for North America retail partners.
  • Translate retailer POS, inventory positions, historical trends, seasonality, promotional plans, and new product introductions into demand assumptions and forecast updates.
  • Support the monthly consensus planning process by preparing inputs, highlighting key changes, and identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Maintain a clear view of baseline demand, upside, downside, and key forecast drivers across retail accounts.
  • Help develop and refine planning logic, assumptions, and planning cadences for retail accounts as the business scales.
  • Monitor retail inventory health using on-hand inventory, on-order inventory, weeks-of-supply, and forward-looking demand.
  • Recommend sell-in and replenishment plans that balance revenue goals, service levels, and inventory health.
  • Identify risk areas such as low stock, excess inventory, phase-in and phase-out transitions, and launch constraints, and escalate issues with clear recommendations.
  • Support allocation decisions during constrained supply periods by quantifying demand, inventory risk, and business impact.
  • Partner with Supply Planning and Retail teams to improve in-stock position and reduce avoidable lost sales.
  • Partner with Retail, GTM, Product, and Supply Planning on promotional events, assortment changes, and new retailer, product, or door launches.
  • Convert commercial plans into forecast assumptions and planning scenarios.
  • Support new product launch planning and lifecycle transitions by helping track assumptions, timing, and ramp expectations.
  • Contribute to end-of-life planning by helping assess inventory exposure, markdown risk, and timing shifts.
  • Own recurring retail demand planning analyses and reporting, including forecast versus actuals, trend views, and inventory health metrics.
  • Analyze weekly and monthly performance to explain what happened, why it happened, and what should change in the next plan.
  • Maintain a transparent audit trail of forecast changes and their impact to units, revenue, and inventory.
  • Build and improve tools and reporting in Google Sheets, Tableau, or similar platforms so stakeholders can focus on decisions rather than manual data gathering.
  • Help shape business requirements and validate outputs for planning system improvements, including retail forecasting and inventory workflows.
  • Support process improvement work-streams that make retail planning more scalable, accurate, and decision-oriented.
  • 4–6+ years of hands-on demand planning, merchandise planning, or related analytical experience supporting physical products in retail, consumer electronics, CPG, or similar environments.
  • Experience working with retail forecasting concepts such as sell-through versus sell-in, promotional lifts, inventory targets, and weeks-of-supply.
  • Strong analytical and modeling skills, including advanced proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets.
  • Comfort working with large data sets from multiple sources, including POS, inventory, and shipment data.
  • Ability to translate analysis into clear business insights, including key drivers, risks, trade-offs, and recommendations.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with commercial, supply chain, finance, and product stakeholders.
  • Strong ownership mindset with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence decisions through strong analysis and clear storytelling.

  • Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.
  • Background in consumer electronics, wearables, premium hardware, or other multi-channel physical product businesses.
  • Experience supporting new retail launches, new assortments, or retail expansion into new doors or countries.
  • Familiarity with S&OP or IBP processes and preparation of materials for leadership reviews.
  • You create reliable retail demand plans that improve alignment across Retail, Supply Planning, Finance, and GTM.
  • You help the team make faster, clearer decisions by connecting data to business actions.
  • You proactively identify demand and inventory risks and bring forward practical recommendations.
  • You improve the quality and scalability of retail planning processes as the North America business expands.
