Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
Troubleshoots machinery and equipment and diagnoses problems.
Repairs defective machines and equipment by dismantling and installing new or repaired parts.
Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
Assists in performing preventative maintenance and ensures that preventative maintenance schedules are being met.
Assists in training production employees on proper maintenance procedures, including but not limited to, lockout-tagout.
Operates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
Repairs and maintains physical structure of facilities.
Initiates purchase requests for parts and machines.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience High school diploma or G.E.D., 5-7 years of hands-on electronic and mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Collegiate Level Industrial Maintenance background/certifications preferred.
Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Math Skills Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Skills Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, outside weather conditions, and risk of radiation. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
