What’s in store for you:

You’ll be solving complex challenges and maintaining our own infrastructure with 60PB+ monthly data traffic. Here are its scale and maturity in numbers:

- 6PB+ Ceph storage

- 60PB+ monthly data traffic through our systems

- 300k+ service requests/sec processed

- 500k+ Kafka messages/sec streamed

Own the technical direction of the whole Webshare product engineering function.

Lead people management (hiring, growth, performance, salary reviews) for a team of 8–10 senior engineers, driving delivery according to business priorities and ensuring the right team ambition according to capacity.

Champion team health: Catch problems early, don't wait for retros.

Ensure team skill composition matches product direction across the engineering org.

Own delivery outcomes: PM defines what/why; you own how/when/who.

Accept work from PM, push back when specs aren't ready.

Report delivery expectations, status and flags to business.

Balance features, experiments, tech debt, bug fixes.

Remove impediments: cross-team deps, infra blockers, unclear requirements.

Drive technical excellence: code review culture, testing, observability.

Maintain infrastructure reliability (650B+ req/month, 300K+ req/sec - uptime is existential).

Set engineering standards and own architecture decisions across product engineering; drive alignment on strategic technical bets.

Navigate tech debt decisions: when to pay down, when to live with it.

Product sensibility: understands why, not just how.

Comfortable with high-autonomy engineering cultures.

Technical background.

Fluent English (international team).

Experience in System Architecture.

SaaS / API / developer tools experience.

Python ecosystem (Django, async Python) experience.

High-throughput distributed systems (billions-scale) experience.

Knowledge of proxy, scraping, or data collection industry.

Gross salary: From 7000 EUR/gross + quarterly KPI-based performance bonus. Keep in mind that we are open to discussing a different salary based on your skills and experience.
