- SALES AGENTS & SHORE EXCURSIONS DISPATCHERS-

 

Our clients operate a portfolio of tourism and shore-excursion services in Bermuda, working closely with cruise lines and local industry partners to deliver high-quality guest experiences throughout the cruise ship season.  They are seeking seasonal staff to support sales and shore-excursion operations during the upcoming busy cruise-ship season.

 

These are hands-on, customer-facing roles suited to individuals who are professional, detail-oriented, and comfortable working variable hours aligned with cruise ship schedules.  All candidates must be reliable, punctual, and professional, have availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as scheduled, and be able to provide a clean Police Check. Post-secondary education is considered an asset.  Opportunities include: 

Seasonal Sales Agents

(Approx 25-40 hours per week / 600 hours per season)

Seasonal Sales Agents are responsible for providing high-quality customer service and selling tours and activities on behalf of numerous local tour operators. The roles are primarily based in Dockyard, with flexibility to work in Hamilton as required.  Key responsibilities include:

  • Selling, promoting, and cross-selling tours and activities
  • Assisting customers in person, by phone, and by email
  • Building strong relationships with tour operators and guides
  • Daily sales reconciliation and administrative support

 

Ideal Candidates Will Have:

  • Strong sales and customer service background, with 3–5+ years in guest relations and administrative support
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a hands-on, operational role
  • Strong written communication skills (including email etiquette)
  • Solid basic math skills (calculations, percentages, reconciliations)
  • Confident computer user in a Windows environment, Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Able to multitask, prioritise, and manage time effectively
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Flexible to work from Dockyard and Hamilton as required


Part-Time & Full-Time Seasonal Shore-Excursion Dispatchers

(PT - Approx 15 hours per week / 390 hours per season)

(FT – Approx 15-30 hours per week / 400 – 900 hours per season)

This role acts as a key on-the-ground liaison between cruise lines, tour operators, and management. It requires strong communication skills, discretion, and the ability to manage real-time operational issues on the cruise ship pier.  Key responsibilities include:
• Dispatching and coordinating shore excursions on the pier
• Acting as point of contact for cruise line shore excursion teams
• Managing guest flow, tour departures, and ticket reconciliation
• Handling issues calmly and professionally in a live environment
• Maintaining strict confidentiality at all times

 

Ideal Candidates Will Have:

  • For PT role: 6 months+ experience in a customer service capacity with knowledge of customer service and sales techniques, along with a positive customer-focused demeanor.  For FT role: 3-5+ years’ experience in a guest relations capacity.
  • Working knowledge of Bermuda’s ports of call and of associated tours offered in Bermuda is preferred.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment with changing variables and differing expectations.
  • Excellent public speaking skills and confident speaking in front of large audiences.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and software systems.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team atmosphere.
  • Must be able to physically stand for sustained periods on the cruise ship pier as needed and to travel from location to location.
  • Must be able to provide own transportation for work purposes and must have a valid driver’s license for that transportation.
