NETWORK ENGINEER

## DHT INFRA VOICE DATA NETWORKS ## Full-Time / 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM ## Note: Candidates must be willing to commute and work "in-person" often at the Dayton, Ohio area offices ## ## The Network Engineer position provides design, installation, administration and maintenance of the Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN) and the Unified Communication (UC) network. Establishes a networking environment by designing system configuration and defining, documenting and enforcing system standards. Maximizes network performance through monitoring, troubleshooting, upgrades and collaborating with network architects on network optimization. Configures and installs various network devices and services, like routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, VoIP switches, VoIP gateways, contact centers, video conferencing and Quality of Service. Participates or may lead tactical network projects or service requests. Handles technical problems with little to no supervision and interacts with a variety of customers, vendors and consultants. Integrates technical skills with knowledge of the business to provide effective network solutions. Provides guidance and mentoring to colleagues and promotes teamwork. ## Education Minimum Level of Education Required: Associate degree Additional requirements: ## Type of degree: Associate Degree with 6+ years of experience or Bachelor Degree with 4+ years of experience Area of study or major: Computer Science, Business Administration, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, related degree in Information Technology ## Licensure/Certification/Registration: CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) or CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) or CCDA (Cisco Certified Design Associate) or UCCIS (Cisco Unified Contact Center Enterprise Specialist) or CIVND (Cisco Video Network Specialist) or CCT Routing & Switching recommended Experience: Minimum Level of Experience Required: 5 - 7 years of job related experience Prior job title or occupational experience: Network, Telecom, Voice, Unified Communications or VoIP Engineer or Network Analyst preferred. Prior specific functional responsibilities: Network Engineering, VoIP Engineering, Unified Communications Preferred experience: On call support for a 24/7 operation. Healthcare Industry. Cisco Unified Communication Manager configuration and infrastructure Knowledge/Skills Demonstrated understanding in the use of technology to solve business problems Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team setting, exhibit the attention to detail and process rigor required to implement the technical solutions expected of the position Demonstrated ability to contribute to a team approach in strategic and tactical projects Effective interpersonal skills Demonstrated knowledge of project management with ability to lead or participate as required Ability to execute assignments within specified guidelines without significant supervision Communicates effectively with users, colleagues, and organizational administration Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
