- Part-time (0.6 FTE) appointment on a fixed term basis for 12 months.
- Base salary range: Level 9 $134,288 – $142,099 p.a. (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation.
The HealthSpan Initiative is an ambitious, University-wide program focused on extending the period of life lived in good health through prevention, innovation and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
Led by Professor Danny Green, the initiative will bring together expertise across exercise science, nutrition, psychology, population health, nursing, pharmacy, data science, and more. The vision is to establish a globally recognised HealthSpan Institute that integrates research, education, community engagement and industry partnerships to deliver meaningful benefits to individuals, communities and the healthcare system.
About the Role
~1 min read- Lead the strategic design and establishment of the HealthSpan Initiative, including development of a business case, operating model and long-term funding pathways.
- Build and influence high-impact partnerships across academia, government, industry and philanthropy to secure investment and enable growth.
- Drive stakeholder engagement, governance and program development, translating a bold vision into a sustainable, institution-level initiative.

- Proven experience leading complex programs, strategic initiatives or new organisational units, ideally within health, research or innovation environments.
- Strong track record developing business cases, investment propositions and partnership models, with the ability to secure funding and stakeholder buy-in.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, with experience working across government, industry and academia.
- Demonstrated ability to operate in ambiguous, fast-paced environments, using initiative, judgement and strategic thinking to deliver outcomes.
- Excellent planning, organisational and communication skills, including experience delivering engagement activities, communications materials and digital content.
