We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Adult Community Speech and Language Therapist (SALT) to join a dynamic community service in Enfield. This role involves delivering high-quality speech and language therapy to adults within a community setting, supporting patients and their families/carers across a diverse and multicultural population.
You will play a key role in providing specialist assessment, diagnosis, and intervention for adults with communication and swallowing difficulties. Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to delivering holistic, patient-centred care and support rehabilitation within the community.
Responsibilities

• Provide a high standard of assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for adults with speech, language, communication, and swallowing needs.
• Deliver person-centred therapy to patients within community settings, involving families and carers in care plans.
• Act as a source of specialist advice to the stroke community rehabilitation service (CSRT), adult SLT team, and wider community therapy services.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support patient recovery and independence.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records in line with professional and organisational standards.

• A recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent).
• HCPC registration and eligibility for membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).
• Experience working with adult patients, ideally within a community or rehabilitation setting.
• Strong clinical skills in assessing and managing communication and swallowing disorders.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• A valid UK driving licence or access to transport to travel across the borough.
