Band 6 - Biomedical Scientist Biochemistry - Brighton

The role requires expertise in biochemistry, including conducting routine and specialist analytical testing, interpreting results, and ensuring compliance with quality control standards. The scientist will be responsible for maintaining and operating laboratory equipment, supporting quality assurance procedures, and assisting in the day-to-day running of the biochemistry laboratory. Additionally, they will contribute to training and competency assessments, ensuring adherence to UKAS accreditation standards.

• HCPC registration (essential).
• Degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent.
• Experience in biochemistry and biochemical analysis.
• Must be familiar with using, setting up and the maintenance of Abbott Alinity systems, AlinIQ AMS , Winpath middleware.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
