Community Occupational Therapist - Leeds

Location: Leeds
Contract: Temporary (Minimum 3 months)
Hours: Full-time (Monday to Friday) – Part-time may be considered for the right applicant

Our client is seeking an experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join their team in Leeds. This role involves working with adult patients across a wide range of clinical areas, providing specialist occupational therapy interventions and supporting independence.

• →Deliver occupational therapy interventions for adults, covering:
  • →Older people, frailty, falls, dementia
  • →MSK and Neuro (including Parkinson’s Disease and Multiple Sclerosis)
  • →Medical and orthopaedic conditions
• →Independently hold, prioritize, and manage a caseload.
• →Provide long-arm advice and supervision where required.
• →Apply knowledge of Mental Capacity Act (MCA) and support patients making unwise decisions.
• →Assess and recommend equipment provision, aids, and adaptations.
• →Liaise with the multidisciplinary team to ensure patient-centered care.

• HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
• Broad clinical experience working with adults across multiple specialties.
• Awareness/experience of MCA and decision-making processes.
• Basic knowledge of equipment provision and adaptations.
• Car driver with access to own vehicle and business insurance (essential for commuting across hub areas).
• Ability to work autonomously and manage a varied caseload.
