Location: Leeds
Contract: Temporary (Minimum 3 months)
Hours: Full-time (Monday to Friday) – Part-time may be considered for the right applicant

Our client is seeking an experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join their team in Leeds. This role involves working with adult patients across a wide range of clinical areas, providing specialist occupational therapy interventions and supporting independence.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver occupational therapy interventions for adults, covering:
    • Older people, frailty, falls, dementia
    • MSK and Neuro (including Parkinson’s Disease and Multiple Sclerosis)
    • Medical and orthopaedic conditions
  • Independently hold, prioritize, and manage a caseload.
  • Provide long-arm advice and supervision where required.
  • Apply knowledge of Mental Capacity Act (MCA) and support patients making unwise decisions.
  • Assess and recommend equipment provision, aids, and adaptations.
  • Liaise with the multidisciplinary team to ensure patient-centered care.

Requirements

  • Awareness/experience of MCA and decision-making processes.
  • Basic knowledge of equipment provision and adaptations.
  • Car driver with access to own vehicle and business insurance (essential for commuting across hub areas).
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage a varied caseload.
