Responsibilities
~1 min readAs a Consultant in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, you will provide clinical leadership and psychiatric expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of children and adolescents with a range of mental health conditions. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, contribute to care planning and safeguarding procedures, supervise junior medical staff, and support service development. The role requires a strong understanding of child development, family dynamics, and evidence-based interventions.

- Inclusion on the Specialist Register for Child & Adolescent Psychiatry – required
- Section 12 approval and Approved Clinician status – desirable
- Extensive experience in CAMHS or child and adolescent mental health services
- Proven leadership and supervisory experience
- Excellent communication, clinical, and decision-making skills
