An outstanding specialist school is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join their team, supporting autistic children and young people aged 4½ to 22. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a rewarding role with the potential to transition from a temporary contract into a permanent position.
Responsibilities

Deliver occupational therapy interventions tailored to children and young people with autism.

Conduct functional and sensory assessments to inform individualised therapy plans.

Provide one-to-one and group sessions to support fine motor, gross motor, and functional independence skills.

Collaborate with teaching staff and the wider multidisciplinary team to embed therapeutic strategies into daily routines.

Support students in developing confidence, independence, and engagement both in school and the wider community.
Requirements

HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.

Experience working with autistic children and young people.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to manage challenging behaviour in a supportive and therapeutic manner.
