Fleet Controller & Tracker

An expanding logistics provider specialising in agri-supply chains is looking for an alert and proactive Fleet Controller / Tracker. This position is responsible for the real-time monitoring of assets and the coordination of driver activities to ensure on-time delivery. As the primary point of contact for the fleet, the individual will manage vehicle movements across South Africa, working full-time shifts with 24/7 standby duties to maintain operational continuity. Key Responsibilities Monitor live tracking systems to ensure vehicles remain on designated routes and schedules. Act as the main communication link between the office and drivers on the road. Coordinate vehicle maintenance and ensure all fleet documentation is up to date. Respond to en-route incidents or delays, providing immediate solutions to minimize impact. Generate daily reports on fleet performance, fuel usage, and driver behaviour. Requirements Relevant certificate or diploma in Logistics or Transport Management. Fleet Tracking Software (e.g., Mix Telematics, Ctrack, or similar) Microsoft Outlook and Excel 2 years direct experience as a Fleet Scheduler or Controller. Proven track record in managing drivers and overseeing a diverse vehicle fleet. Must have reliable personal transport to accommodate shift-based work.
