A leading pan-African agricultural supply chain specialist is seeking a meticulous Warehouse Controller to join their South African operations. This full-time position is central to maintaining inventory integrity and supporting the seamless flow of goods within a high-pressure logistics environment. The successful candidate will manage stock accuracy and warehouse workflows, specifically overseeing the safe handling and storage of hazardous agricultural chemicals. This role operates on a shift-basis and requires the candidate to be available for 24/7 standby rotations to meet operational demands. Standard working hours will be determined by the shift roster to ensure continuous warehouse coverage. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily inventory control processes to ensure 100% stock accuracy. Manage the safe handling, storage, and documentation of hazardous chemicals in accordance with regulatory and safety protocols. Conduct regular warehouse audits to identify, investigate, and resolve any stock discrepancies. Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure the timely dispatch and receiving of agricultural goods. Execute all warehouse administrative tasks, ensuring precise documentation for inbound and outbound stock. Uphold stringent health and safety standards to maintain a secure and organised work environment. Support the broader logistics team to optimise workflow and distribution efficiency. Requirements A minimum of 2 years of proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management. Direct experience in the handling and management of hazardous chemicals within a warehouse environment. Previous background working within the agricultural or FMCG supply chain sectors. Availability to work full-time hours, including shifts and 24/7 standby rotations. Valid driver’s licence and reliable personal transport (essential for shift work and standby calls). Strong numerical proficiency and a methodical approach to problem-solving. Preferred Qualifications Relevant Diploma/Degree in Warehouse Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transport Management or similar Formal training or certification in the handling and storage of dangerous goods/hazardous substances (e.g., Hazmat or AVCASA). Required Software Skills Microsoft Excel - Intermediate Inventory Management Software / WMS Benefits Professional development within a pioneering pan-African logistics network.
