A well-established manufacturing company is seeking a meticulous Estimator to serve as the critical link between design concepts and final production. This role is designed for a practical professional with a genuine passion for craftsmanship and a natural curiosity regarding component assembly and manufacturing logic. The successful candidate will leverage a robust mathematical foundation to ensure all projects are underpinned by precise measurements, cost-efficiency, and technical viability. Working from the client’s office, the Estimator will act as a key collaborator between sales and operations to drive accurate data management and profitable project outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Systems Management: Manage and maintain the QuickEasy programme, ensuring all system setups relating to estimating, including material additions and cost centre edits are accurate and up to date. Project Estimation: Generate precise project estimates and quotations by analysing technical requirements and material costs to ensure profitability. Workflow Integration: Liaise closely with operations, production, and sales departments to ensure seamless integration and communication throughout the project lifecycle, including SKU management. Data Integrity: Maintain the integrity of pricing data across the system to support informed commercial decision-making. Requirements Technical Aptitude: A strong mathematical understanding of measurements and a practical grasp of how items are manufactured or put together. Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy and a "right-first-time" approach to complex costing and pricing analysis. Analytical Skills: Ability to conduct thorough systems and process management to optimise estimating workflows. Collaboration: Proven ability to provide cross-functional support to diverse internal teams. Experience: While 2–3 years of estimating experience is preferred, candidates who demonstrate the required practical mindset and curiosity regarding manufacturing processes will be considered. Microsoft Excel Advanced Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or any relevant qualification. Industry Experience: Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
