Responsibilities

  • →Deliver safe, high-quality clinical care to Emergency Department patients and inpatients requiring urgent review.
  • →Provide clinical leadership, mentoring, and supervision to trainee medical officers and junior staff.
  • →Lead quality improvement, teaching, audit, and research activities to enhance patient outcomes.
  • →Collaborate with internal teams and external providers to optimise care, safety, and clinical systems.
  • Do you have appropriate specialist qualifications (FACEM) and registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as Medical Practitioner
  • Do you have extensive experience in emergency medicine, with advanced skills in resuscitation, airway management, circulatory support, and retrieval of critically ill patients, particularly in a rural setting?
  • Are you committed to clinical leadership, mentoring, and supporting multidisciplinary teams?
  • Do you thrive in a regional environment where your expertise can make a meaningful impact on patient care and service delivery?

We serve a population of over 67,000 people in the Limestone Coast, as well as residents from Western Victoria. We employ over 1400 people, with 1.2% identifying as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and we are also supported by a team of approximately 600 hardworking volunteers.
