About the Role

In a Sonographer Training position, you will be part of a dedicated imaging team committed to providing safe, high-quality diagnostic ultrasound services across a range of clinical settings. As an additional member of the team, you will work under professional supervision, supported by Advanced Clinical Educators. You will partake in a comprehensive training program which is aligned with your approved Medical Sonography course.

You are an enthusiastic and motivated healthcare professional with a strong desire to build a rewarding career in ultrasound. You demonstrate professionalism, initiative and a genuine commitment to learning, while delivering compassionate, patient-centred care. With a collaborative approach and keen attention to detail, you thrive in a dynamic clinical environment where quality, safety and continuous improvement are core values.

  • Qualifications & Registration
    A recognised bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a relevant health field that permits enrolment into an ASAR-accredited Medical Ultrasound program. You will be required to register as an Accredited Student Sonographer with ASAR.
  • Technical & Clinical Skills
    Demonstrated knowledge in the principles and practice of safety and quality in healthcare.
  • Communication & Teamwork
    Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team, accept feedback, and engage professionally with patients and colleagues.
  • Professionalism & Adaptability
    Commitment to maintaining high standards of care, time management and ethical practice, with a flexible and positive approach to change, safety, cultural awareness and professional development.
