| Job Description: |
Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Assist with updating and maintaining the Florida 4-H website to ensure content is current, accurate, and engaging.
- →Create and edit social media content, including short-form videos and reels.
- →Design promotional materials such as flyers, brochures, graphics, and digital materials using Canva.
- →Assist with writing and editing blogs, news releases, social media captions, and other communications materials.
- →Support Florida 4-H marketing and public relations campaigns and special projects.
- →Help maintain consistent Florida 4-H branding across digital and print materials.
- →Assist with gathering photos, stories, and content from Florida 4-H programs and events.
- →Support other communications and public relations projects as needed.
Expected Salary:
$15 per hour
Required Qualifications:- →Must have a current Federal Work Study (FWS) award
- →Currently enrolled as a University of Florida student and eligible for Federal Work-Study.
- →Written and verbal communication skills.
- →Basic knowledge of social media platforms and content creation.
- →Basic design skills and experience using Canva or similar design software.
- →Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- →Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- →Interest in public relations, communications, marketing, journalism, graphic design, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- →Experience managing or updating website content.
- →Experience creating and editing short-form video content, particularly reels.
- →Experience with Canva
- →Experience writing blogs, news releases, social media content, or other professional communications.
- →Knowledge of social media trends and best practices.
- →Pursuing a degree in public relations, communications, journalism, marketing, advertising, graphic design, or a related field.
Work Schedule Availability: Monday - Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, 10-20 hours a week
