Accountant

Delivering specialised accounting and tax compliance support, this remote contract role provides flexible, high-impact capacity for a professional with dedicated experience in small business and trust accounting. Operating approximately 50-60 hours per year, predominantly around provisional and final tax submission months, you will support seamless financial administration and ensure full adherence to South African tax regulations. This position will commence mid January 2027. Key Responsibilities Prepare and submit accurate provisional tax calculations and returns in compliance with SARS deadlines. Complete and lodge annual income tax returns for small business entity and family trust structure. Prepare annual financial statements for both company and trust. Maintain rigorous tax compliance and manage statutory submission processes end-to-end. Essential Requirements Proven background operating as an Independent Contractor Accountant. Demonstrated hands-on experience managing trust accounting and tax affairs. Established track record in small business accounting and expense management. Comprehensive knowledge of South African tax compliance and statutory submission requirements.
