Audit Supervisor

Our client is a well-established, dynamic professional services and auditing firm known for delivering exceptional technical standards, fostering strong client partnerships, and maintaining a high-performance culture. As their practice continues to expand, they are seeking an experienced Audit Supervisor to lead engagements, drive quality standards, and mentor the next generation of accounting professionals. Role Purpose This position is ideal for a technically strong, organised, and delivery-focused professional who enjoys leading audit files end-to-end, supervising junior staff, and working directly alongside Partners to deliver high-quality client service. Key Responsibilities Audit Engagement Management: Lead multiple audit engagements from initial planning through to final completion, managing budgets, workflow, and strict deadlines. Quality & Compliance: Review audit files and financial statements to ensure full compliance with International Standards on Auditing (ISAs) and internal firm benchmarks. Team Leadership & Mentorship: Supervise, train, and develop SAICA Trainee Accountants while driving accountability and maintaining a positive team culture. Client & Partner Engagement: Build and nurture lasting client relationships and collaborate closely with Partners to maintain top-tier service standards. Requirements BCom (Hons), CTA, or equivalent; a CA(SA) designation is highly advantageous. Minimum 1 year of post-articles experience in an audit supervisory role, with a proven track record of leading audit engagements and managing teams. Strong technical auditing knowledge and high proficiency in Caseware. Sound understanding of SAICA training requirements, including LORS and PDSs. Superior time management, comfortably handling multiple priorities and delivering high-quality work under pressure. Possesses a genuine passion for mentoring trainees and strengthening the performance culture within the practice. Combines excellent communication skills with the ability to drive team accountability while building constructive relationships.
