Senior Android Engineer, Design System

This is an Android role on Reddit’s Design System Team. The mission of the Design System Team is to deliver a cohesive, modern and accessible experience across all of Reddit’s platforms. 

As a Senior Android engineer on the Design System Team, you will help evolve Reddit’s cross-platform design system and UI architecture that powers experiences across the company. You will build reusable components, improve platform capabilities, and help establish frontend patterns that enable product teams to ship high-quality experiences efficiently. This role has broad scope and impact, helping shape the future of frontend development at Reddit.

• →6+ years of software engineering experience, with a track record of leading cross-functional projects and delivering solutions with broad product impact.
• →Experience building and maintaining shared UI infrastructure, such as design systems, component libraries, or frontend infrastructure used across multiple teams.
• →Strong experience with modern Android development using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, with expertise in UI architecture, scalable component design, and performance optimization using tools such as Instruments.
• →Familiarity with accessibility best practices and an interest in building components, tooling, or documentation that help teams ship accessible experiences by default.

In addition to base salary, this job is eligible to receive equity in the form of restricted stock units, and depending on the position offered, it may also be eligible to receive a commission.
