Manager, Technology Product Management
Quick Summary
Ridgeline is building the next-generation operational platform for asset and wealth managers.
Ridgeline is building the next-generation operational platform for asset and wealth managers. The way we scale that platform — and the way we serve every product team that builds on it — depends on the horizontal capabilities that make Ridgeline coherent: a unified UI Platform that gives every customer a consistent, performant experience, and a set of enterprise frameworks (search, custom fields, audit trail) that nearly every product surface depends on.
We're looking for a Manager of Product Management to lead two Technology PM teams in this space: the UI Platform PM team (responsible for our design system, frontend infrastructure, and shared UI patterns) and a new team responsible for search, custom fields, audit trail and other similar cross-cutting product capabilities used by every domain team.
You'll lead PMs in both areas, drive product strategy for both portfolios, partner closely with engineering leadership in each domain, and be a multiplier for the broader Technology PM team. This role sits at the intersection of platform craft, people leadership, and cross-org influence — and is responsible for ensuring the PMs on your teams are doing the most leveraged work of their careers.
The Impact You Will Have:
- People leadership. Manage, coach, and develop the PMs on your teams. Build career paths, run 1:1s, give and receive feedback, set growth plans, and hire to fill open roles. Your most important deliverable is the success of the PMs you manage.
- Product strategy. Own the product vision and roadmap for Ridgeline's UI Platform: design system maturity, frontend infrastructure investments, shared UI patterns, and the developer experience for product teams building on top of it. Drive cross-team adoption of platform UI patterns and reduce bespoke frontend implementations across the org. Kickstart investment in a PM portfolio for three existing horizontal capabilities — search, custom fields, audit trail — that need a coherent product strategy. Articulate the product vision, and partner with engineering to make them first-class platform capabilities.
- Cross-team alignment. Serve as the senior product management voice for your product areas across all of Ridgeline. Drive alignment with product engineering teams (whose features depend on your capabilities), with CX (whose implementation velocity depends on component quality), and with leadership (who need to understand the strategic value of platform investments).
- Team building & hiring. Help set the bar for what a strong Technology PM looks like at Ridgeline and keep pushing the bar higher by developing the team. Backfill the open UI Platform PM seat, and hire additional PMs as needed as the portfolio matures.
- Technology PM leadership. As one of a small set of Technology PM Managers, participate in shaping how the broader Technology PM team operates: PM career framework, expectations setting, AI-native PM practices, cross-portfolio prioritization. Help raise the floor for the whole team.
What We Look for:
- 8+ years in product management, with at least 5 years owning platform, framework, or developer-experience products where the primary customer is internal (engineers, PMs, designers, product teams).
- 3+ years managing PMs — including hiring, performance management, and growing PMs from L1 → L5. You're an exceptional manager, not just an exceptional IC PM who got promoted.
- Track record of building and shipping horizontal platform capabilities adopted by multiple product teams. You've seen what it takes to make a framework get used, not just shipped.
- Strong technical fluency. You don't need to write code, but you do need to credibly discuss frontend architecture, design system tradeoffs, search relevance, schema flexibility, and audit/compliance constraints with engineering leadership.
- Comfort operating across altitudes — from executive narrative (e.g. why UI Platform matters, how audit trail supports our platform strategy, etc.) to tactical execution (e.g. when to deprecate a legacy component, how to scope a custom-fields v2).
- Demonstrated ability to drive alignment across teams without direct authority. Internal-platform PMs serve every other team — adoption can't always be mandated. You've built credibility through clarity, evidence, and partnership.
- Strong PM-as-multiplier mindset. The success of the PMs you manage matters more than your own visibility. You give them the air cover, context, and coaching they need to do their best work — and step back when they've got it.
- Comfort with ambiguity. The scope and strategy for audit trail, custom fields, and search will evolve in your first 6 months. You're energized by that, not anxious about it.
- Familiarity with AI-native PM workflows (Claude Code, Glean, agent-driven tooling). You're an active practitioner, and you expect your team to be too.
Why This Role Matters:
Ridgeline's product strategy depends on the platform doing more, not less. UI Platform is how we deliver a coherent, performant, lovable product across every domain team. Search, Custom Fields, and Audit Trail and cross-cutting capabilities that make Ridgeline feel like one product instead of twenty. Both need senior product management leadership to evolve from "stuff that's there" into deliberate, well-scoped, well-adopted platform products. This role is the person who makes that happen — and grows the PMs who'll carry it forward.
Ridgeline is the first front-to-back system of record for investment managers.
