The Tool Shop Counter plays a critical role in supporting field operations by ensuring tools, equipment, and materials are available, organized, and ready when crews need them.

At RK Industries, you'll support field operations by managing inventory, coordinating tool and material distribution, and serving as a key resource for project teams. Working closely with field personnel, warehouse staff, and internal stakeholders, you'll help maintain accountability, accuracy, and efficiency across the tool and material lifecycle.

• →Process tool, equipment, and material requests for field crews and project teams.
• →Issue, receive, track, and maintain accountability for tools, consumables, and equipment using company inventory systems.
• →Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, discrepancy investigations, and inventory reconciliation.
• →Receive, inspect, organize, stock, and stage tools, materials, and consumables for jobsite delivery.
• →Verify orders for accuracy, quality, and availability prior to release.
• →Coordinate deliveries, pickups, transfers, repairs, and maintenance of tools and equipment.
• →Communicate inventory availability, order status, and alternative solutions to field personnel and project teams.
• →Ensure equipment is in safe working condition before assignment or shipment.
• →Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse environment.
• →Support continuous improvement efforts focused on inventory accuracy, accountability, and operational efficiency.

• Experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, shipping and receiving, materials coordination, tool crib operations, equipment rental, parts departments, construction supply, or industrial distribution environments.
• Experience performing inventory audits, cycle counts, reconciliation, and inventory tracking.
• Familiarity with construction tools, equipment, materials, and consumables.
• Experience using ERP, inventory management, warehouse management, or asset tracking systems.
• Forklift, pallet jack, or warehouse equipment experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Customer-service mindset with a focus on supporting field personnel and project teams.

• Work indoors and outdoors, including dusty, noisy, and active construction environments.
• Work at heights, in confined spaces, and in other challenging jobsite conditions as needed.
• Climb, balance, squat, kneel, crouch, and perform physically demanding warehouse activities.
• Work in all weather conditions when required.
• Maintain working knowledge of construction tools, equipment, materials, and consumables.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds occasionally, 45 pounds frequently, and 22 pounds continuously.
