We are seeking an experienced Garden Maintenance Manager to join our growing team, in a full-time capacity:
About the Role
~1 min read- Managing and scheduling a small garden maintenance team.
- Coordinating day-to-day maintenance operations and ensuring works are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients through regular communication and site visits.
- Preparing project handover documentation and maintenance reports.
- Overseeing the procurement and sourcing of plants and garden materials.
- Performing hands-on garden maintenance and horticultural works, spending approximately two days per week working within gardens.
- Identifying plants and monitoring plant health to maintain thriving landscapes.
- Planting, transplanting, pruning, mulching, weeding and fertilising gardens as required.
- Applying horticultural expertise to support garden development and ongoing maintenance programs.
- Ensuring tools, equipment and vehicles are maintained and operated safely.
- Proven experience in a garden maintenance leadership or management role
- Qualified in Horticulture (essential)
- Strong plant knowledge and identification
- Experience management and coordinating staff and work schedules
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, in all weather conditions
- Sound knowledge of horticulture and soft landscaping practices
- Drivers licence
