At Rosebel Gold Mines N.V., the Custom Broker plays a key role in ensuring smooth and compliant import and export of goods required for mining operations. This position supports operational efficiency by managing all customs-related processes in line with national and international regulations.

Responsibilities

Manage and process import and export customs declarations for all mining-related goods and materials.

Ensure compliance with customs laws, trade regulations, and company policies.

Coordinate with customs authorities, freight forwarders, and internal departments to facilitate timely clearance of shipments.

Maintain accurate customs documentation, records, and reporting for audit and compliance purposes.

Monitor and resolve any customs delays, inspections, or discrepancies to minimize operational disruption.

A diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
At least 3–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in customs clearance, import/export, or logistics within a mining or industrial environment.
Strong knowledge of customs regulations, import/export procedures, and trade compliance.
Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
Ability to work under pressure, solve problems efficiently, and meet tight deadlines.

Willingness to work at our Brokopondo mine site on a rotational schedule (14/5 days on, 7/2 days off).

If selected, you will be required to submit a Police Clearance Certificate (“Bewijs van Goedgedrag”). Please initiate the request at your respective District Commissariat.
