QA Automation Engineer

RYZ Labs is looking for a QA Automation Engineer to join one of our client’s teams, from the sports merchandising industry! We are seeking a Quality Automation Engineer with deep expertise in automated test suite development, execution, and maintenance. This role focuses on building robust, scalable test frameworks, integrating them into CI/CD pipelines, and contributing to product quality across every release cycle. The ideal candidate brings AI-enhanced testing practices and collaborates closely with engineering and product teams in an Agile environment. Basic Qualifications: -5+ years of professional experience in quality automation engineering.- Expert-level proficiency with Playwright for end-to-end web test automation.-Deep experience with one or more test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, TestNG, JUnit, pytest).-Strong understanding of test plan and test case design standards, including boundary analysis and equivalence partitioning.-Proven experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI, GitLab CI).-Experience using AI tools or AI-enhanced testing approaches to boost automation efficiency and coverage.-Solid understanding of software system workflows and ability to trace test coverage to product requirements. -Hands-on experience in Agile/SCRUM — comfortable with sprint ceremonies, backlog grooming, and iterative delivery. What makes you stand out: -Exposure to performance or security testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner, AppSpider, OWASP ZAP). -Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or RestAssured. -Familiarity with cloud testing platforms (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs). -Scripting experience in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Java. Key Responsibilities: -Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test suites across web and API layers using Playwright and other modern frameworks. -Build and enforce test plan and test case standards aligned to team and industry best practices. -Own integration of the test automation suite into the CI/CD pipeline to enable continuous delivery with quality gates. -Apply AI-assisted tooling to improve test coverage, defect detection, and maintenance efficiency. -Review and triage test failures, diagnose root causes, and coordinate fixes with engineering teams. -Contribute to framework architecture decisions, tooling selection, and documentation. -Participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily standups within an Agile/SCRUM workflow.
