Training personnel design, develop and deliver training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge, and ensure required qualifications, of employees within the organization. They assess training needs, develop curriculum, and facilitate workshops or training sessions tailored to specific learning objectives. Additionally, they evaluate training outcomes and adjust strategies as necessary to ensure continuous improvement in employee performance and organizational effectiveness.
Operations and technical training personnel design and develop operations and technical training materials, including manuals, presentations, and online modules. They ensure that content is relevant, up-to-date, and aligned with organizational goals. They analyze employee learning needs and partner with subject matter experts and operations/technical management to provide input for course content. They plan and coordinating skills assessments and training, and they develop and monitor metrics for evaluating training and development effectiveness. Provide instructor duties for H-Canyon, H-Outside Facilities, HB-Line, and F/H Laboratory facilities. Perform the analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation, and maintenance of initial and continuing training for job-specific Operator, Maintenance, Technical Staff, Manager and Supervisor training programs for the purpose of qualifying/certifying respective H-Area personnel specific to Dedicated Safety Analysis (DSA) and Technical Safety Requirement(TSR) programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field plus at least two years of experience (YOE) in a relevant role, OR Master's degree in relevant field
• Equivalencies to experience and education requirements will be considered
• BS/BA Degree
• Experience working in an SRS or commercial nuclear facility, preferably H-Area.
• Experience working in a performance-based training programs with qualification and certification requirements.
• Experience designing, developing, and implementing training materials as a subject matter expert.
• Experience with facility Safety Basis program.
• Roles in this band apply the knowledge in area of expertise to analyze information; design and develop new approaches, methodologies and processes; and, provide professional advice and guidance to others in accordance with professional quality standards
• Applies a theoretical knowledge-base to work to achieve goals through own work
• Characterized by specific functional expertise typically gained through formal education
• May provide guidance to others as a project manager using technical expertise
Requires a working knowledge and experience in own field, while building knowledge of the company and customers, under a moderate level of guidance and direction.
SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug & alcohol test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Factors such as pre-employment background review results, dual citizenship status, and unpaid and/or unfiled taxes may impact your ability to obtain a security clearance.
