The Foodraising Manager, Prairies will grow and strengthen Second Harvest's food donor network across Manitoba and Saskatchewan. This role focuses on identifying new donor opportunities, building lasting relationships, and supporting food businesses in redirecting surplus food to communities in need.
Working closely with internal operations and logistics teams, you will help ensure donated food moves efficiently from donors to non-profit organizations throughout the region. Extensive travel across the provinces of Manitoba and Saskatchewan and close collaboration with our operations and logistics teams is required to ensure a seamless flow of rescued food into our non-profit network.
- Expand Our Network: Identify and engage potential food donors through proactive networking, cold calls, and dynamic presentations to turn leads into lasting partnerships.
- Boost Donation Quality: Recruit and re-energize both existing and lapsed donors, ensuring a consistent supply of high-quality surplus food.
- Advance Operational Excellence: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize donation processes and support impactful, large-volume food rescue initiatives.
- Enhance Supply Assurance: Optimize rescued food delivery by leveraging our third-party fleets alongside the Second Harvest Food Rescue App, ensuring seamless end-to-end movement between donors and non-profit network.
- Optimize Food Recovery: Monitor outreach success, gather donor feedback, and fine-tune strategies to maximize community impact.

- Strategic Networker: You excel at forging robust connections, converting every lead into a lasting partnership through dynamic engagement.
- Food Industry Professional: You bring experience in food, agriculture, manufacturing, retail, distribution, logistics, or a related sector and understand the challenges and opportunities facing food businesses.
- Client Champion: You are passionately committed to creating unparalleled donor experiences, ensuring every interaction is impactful and memorable.
- Resilient Collaborator: Under pressure, you remain composed and positive, thriving in cross-functional teams while driving collective success.
- Independent & Flexible: Based in Manitoba or Saskatchewan, you are a self-starter with a valid Class 5 driver’s license, access to a reliable vehicle and the readiness to travel across Manitoba and Saskatchewan and to other regions of Canada.
