Senior Android Engineer
Quick Summary
Feature Development & Architecture Design, build,
At ServiceTrade, you’ll build technology that matters — for your career, your team, and the thousands of commercial contractors who rely on our platform every day. We’re on a mission to partner with commercial trades to deliver technology that enhances technician productivity, improves customer experiences, and drives scalable growth.
We’re looking for a Sr Android Engineer who’s excited to make an impact. In this role, you will be responsible for building and evolving our native Android application used by field service technicians on the job. You'll work on a mature, modular Kotlin codebase — contributing to offline-first sync architecture, Jetpack Compose adoption, and platform features that directly impact how our customers work in the field. You'll collaborate closely with iOS, Backend, API, and Web teams, and play an active role in shaping engineering practices on the mobile team.
You’ll belong here from the start.
We bring together kind, curious people with diverse perspectives and trust them with meaningful work. You’ll have ownership, clarity, and support to solve real problems, make a visible impact for our customers, and continue growing as your role evolves.
On the Android team, you'll have the opportunity to work deep in a mature, modular Kotlin codebase building features that field technicians depend on every day, often in offline or spotty-connectivity conditions. You'll contribute to real architectural decisions alongside the Mobile Architect, help drive our Jetpack Compose adoption, and see your work ship to the Play Store on a regular cadence.
You've spent years writing Kotlin and know your way around Jetpack Compose, coroutines, and Flow, and you enjoy the puzzle of getting offline sync and data consistency right. You value writing high-quality, maintainable code while balancing delivery. You write tests, give good feedback in reviews, and take feedback just as well. You're excited about AI-assisted development tools and know how to use them to genuinely improve your work, not just move faster on autopilot. You communicate clearly with teammates across disciplines, and you're just as comfortable in an architecture discussion as you are heads-down in Android Studio.
