Construction Estimator Summary We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. The Construction Estimator will be responsible for analyzing blueprints, conducting takeoffs, and estimating the costs of materials and labor. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with project managers and other stakeholders. Responsibilities Conduct detailed quantity takeoffs from blueprints and other project documents. Prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment. Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project scope and requirements. Analyze project specifications and requirements to ensure comprehensive cost estimation. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and construction methods. Communicate effectively with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing. Review and validate estimates with project teams to ensure accuracy and completeness. Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and presentations for potential projects. Requirements Requirements: 1-3 years of experience in construction estimating or a related field. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and construction documents. Strong skills in takeoffs and cost estimation. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in calculations. Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and external partners. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Familiarity with construction materials and industry standards. Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
