Duty Engineer

POSITION SUMMARY This position is responsible for all the mechanical and technical maintenance and HVAC equipment within the property. This position will also supervise and control the preventive maintenance schedule Responsible for the health and safety of the property Follow the preventive maintenance chart strictly and maintain records for future reference Coordinate with other departments. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Train, coach and evaluate the performance of staff from entry to supervisor level position Technically knowledgeable in mechanical aspects in terms of equipment and different types of systems used in high-rise buildings/towers, with slight knowledge in interfacing mechanical with electrical discipline Technically knowledgeable in principles of mechanical design for dynamic rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, fans and blowers which can be used in large industrial and commercial areas Familiar in district cooling system for buildings and towers in terms of Chilled water systems and HVAC, and also using Ice Thermal Plant in HVAC systems Technically knowledgeable in testing and commissioning of various mechanical systems used in high rise towers/buildings Capable of managing, planning, implementation, supervision, operation and maintenance, as well as coordination works Proficient with Microsoft office applications and easy to adopt other computer-related software that is needed to use in terms of design or reports Responsible and accountable for the successful execution of the project in terms of quality of work, maintenance of schedule, budget and profit margins and client satisfaction Implement various operations through control, coordination, direction, management and communication of the entire operation process Monitor construction supervision teams' performance against program, including provision of adequate resources Responsible for all aspects of the division covered of project engineering for the company from conceptualization through the design, engineering, and construction stages to start-up Coordinates the design development and/or assists in providing technical direction for construction projects Handling specific technical aspects of projects appropriate to the mechanical concern field. Effectively provide and communicate (translate) complex design data and specifications to field construction personnel Performs inspection and maintenance related tasks requiring ascending and descending Stairs, Bending, Reaching and Working at Heights Performs job requiring proper wearing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as necessary Performs job across air conditioned, humid and hot environment May participate in reasonably strenuous exercise such as fire and Emergency Drills Requirements Degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering Minimum of 2 years as Assistant Manager/Manager in a related field/industry Strong proficiency in HVAC systems Must be able to see the big picture while having an exceptionally detail-oriented focus Excellent analytical and organizational skills, can multi-task and work independently, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
