Design Specialist – Drafting - 19494

Primary Responsibilities

• Create comprehensive shop drawings using 3D CAD software (Rhinoceros), including plans, elevations, sections, and detailed views.
• Develop accurate bills of material (BOM) and calculate quantities for company- provided accessories.
• Generate material takeoffs (MTO) for each product within the defined project scope.
• Implement revisions and updates to drawings based on feedback from Engineering,
• Project Management, General Contractors, and Architects.
• Collaborate effectively with internal team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards.

Qualifications:

• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and PDF tools such as Bluebeam.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written) for collaborating with internal staff.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and perform under pressure.
• Meticulous attention to detail and high standards for accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience using 3D modeling software such as Rhinoceros, SolidWorks, Revit, or similar.
• Familiarity with construction or manufacturing environments.
• Understanding of construction principles, methods, and terminology.
