Epicor Prophet 21 (P21) Functional Support Analyst

Location: Remote (Philippines, India, Mexico, Colombia, Costa Rica preferred)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Schedule: 40 hours/week with overlap to U.S. Central Time
Compensation: Based on experience and region

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Epicor Prophet 21 Functional Support Analyst to support, maintain, and improve our Prophet 21 ERP environment across multiple operating companies.

This is not a basic IT support role.

This role will serve as a key functional resource for ERP support, business process improvement, reporting, data quality, and user training.

The ideal candidate understands wholesale distribution operations and can connect system functionality to business execution.

This person will become a critical part of scaling our operating platform.

Core Responsibilities

User Support & Troubleshooting

• Serve as first-line support for P21 users across all business units
• Resolve issues related to:
  • Order entry
  • Purchasing
  • Inventory
  • Pricing
  • Customer setup
  • Vendor setup
  • Reporting
• Escalate technical issues when necessary and coordinate resolution

Functional Administration

• Maintain user permissions, system settings, and workflow configurations
• Support branch onboarding and system standardization
• Help enforce companywide process consistency inside P21

Reporting & Analytics

• Build and maintain reports using:
  • P21 reporting tools
  • SQL queries
  • WebQuery (preferred)
• Support KPI reporting for:
  • Sales
  • Gross profit
  • Inventory turns
  • OTIF
  • Customer activity
  • Pricing compliance

Data Management

• Perform imports and exports
• Clean and validate master data
• Maintain product/customer/vendor integrity
• Support item rationalization initiatives

Process Improvement

• Identify workflow inefficiencies
• Recommend system/process improvements
• Help implement the Raycap Operating System inside P21

Training & Documentation

• Train new users
• Create SOPs and documentation
• Reduce repeat issues through better process documentation

Vendor Coordination

• Coordinate with:
  • Epicor support
  • MSP partners
  • Third-party consultants
• Support testing during upgrades and patches

Required Experience

• 3+ years supporting Epicor Prophet 21 in a live environment
• Strong understanding of wholesale distribution workflows
• Experience in:
  • Inventory control
  • Purchasing
  • Order management
  • Pricing
  • Customer service
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Experience with imports/exports and data cleanup
• Strong English communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• SQL experience
• WebQuery experience
• Epicor Report Studio experience
• Distribution industry experience (MRO, industrial supply, fasteners, safety, hose/fittings preferred)
• Multi-location ERP support experience
• ERP implementation or acquisition integration experience
