We’re looking for an STR Exterior Design Lead to mentor and develop our Exterior Design team, maintain strong design standards, and translate our creative vision into thoughtful, well-executed outdoor spaces.
This role combines strong design judgment with people leadership. You’ll review work critically, explain design criteria clearly, support designers through challenges, and help them become more independent and confident decision-makers. You will oversee a team of five to seven production designers ("workerbees"), ensuring top-tier visual execution, smart combinations of outdoor aesthetic elements, and accurate furniture selection. In addition leading a small team of 3d modelers. While we do not do pure horticulture/landscaping, you will bridge the gap between architecture, outdoor living spaces, and exterior furniture curation.
While our Creative Lead hosts client calls, you will participate as the exterior Subject Matter Expert—stepping in to confidently answer client inquiries or address specific client requests regarding exterior spaces, costs, layout, amenity selection etc.
