Logistics & Supply ChainSupply Chain Analyst

Title: Inventory & Supply Chain Analyst (Internal Title: Growth Planner)

Target Candidate Profile: Mid-to-Senior level professional with strong business acumen, critical thinking, and insight-driven analytical skills.

We are seeking a proactive, forward-thinking Inventory & Supply Chain Analyst to serve as a key growth partner across our retail operations. While titled Inventory & Supply Chain Analyst externally, this role operates internally as a Growth Planner.

We are not looking for a traditional, reactive data manager or spreadsheet compiler—much of our routine data management is already automated. Instead, we need a strategic analyst who turns data into clear, actionable recommendations, anticipates risks and opportunities, and brings the professional presence required to lead high-level strategy and forecast discussions with our client.

Responsibilities

~1 min read
  • Mine insights from internal reporting tools (e.g., Genesis Live) to provide vendors with high-value recommendations across consumer sentiment, search visibility, marketing, profit, assortment optimization, and whitespace opportunities.

  • Go beyond basic reporting to deliver proactive, insight-led growth strategies that drive revenue and operational efficiency.

  • Analyze historical sales, supply chain dynamics, and inventory expectations to ensure stock levels remain tightly aligned with item performance.

  • Coordinate with vendors and our client to adjust, move, or cancel future orders, minimizing liability for both parties.

  • Provide data-backed order recommendations, identify inventory holes at the channel/store level, and present actionable solutions to our client.

  • Monitor inventory flow for new item launches to ensure proper distribution across all channels.

  • Recommend pricing strategies to clear excess inventory efficiently.

  • Build and utilize predictive models based on historical trends, marketing/promotional events, and industry dynamics to project weekly and seasonal sales.

  • Quantify historical lost sales, calculate seasonal/yearly multipliers, and evaluate the sales impact of past promotional events.

  • Lead biannual Chase/Cancel and Collab planning meetings with our client, presenting total season forecasts supported by robust historical and analytical data.

  • Build and update complex predictive models, daily sales trackers, Chase/Cancel grids, and vendor workbooks analyzing performance against prior years.

  • Maintain master data integrity across internal systems (Genesis HUB) and navigate our client's vendor portals (e.g., POL applications such as IMN, Purchase Orders, AIR).

  • Generate monthly company-wide sales rollups, shipment forecasts for vendors, and executive summaries for ad hoc reporting requests.

  • Build and maintain strong, communicative relationships with client planners and inventory analysts.

  • Act as a trusted advisor and collaborative problem-solver for internal teams and external vendor partners.

  • Lead internal financial rollup discussions and present vendor summaries during monthly team meetings.
