The Squarespace Finance team is seeking a Lead Financial Analyst to serve as a go-to expert in FP&A Consolidations. This individual will report to the FP&A Manager and will be responsible for a wide range of financial tasks with a focus on complex analyses. The Lead Analyst will lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, provide strategic financial insights, and mentor junior analysts. They will collaborate with senior management on financial strategy and take the lead on significant aspects of financial planning and analysis. This role requires a high degree of independence and proactive problem-solving.
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing strategic financial insights to support decision-making.
- Proactively build and scale multiple complex models, forecasts, and key analytics simultaneously.
- Independently manage complex financial analyses, making strategic recommendations, and contributing to the development of financial strategies.
- Consolidate financial data from various sources to support decision-making.
- Independently draw and present strategic insights to senior external stakeholders regularly.
- Foster strong business relationships with key stakeholders through consistent communication and clearly described insights.
- Mentor and guide junior analysts, providing guidance and influencing decision-making processes.
- Actively contribute to strategic discussions and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Identify opportunities to enhance the efficiency of existing processes and propose improvements to refine the use of important metrics.
- Prepare timely and accurate reports and presentations based on financial and operational data.
- Work with business systems partners to ensure data and reports are complete and accurate.
- 6 -7+ years of experience in financial planning & analysis or related roles.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or equivalent experience.
- Expertise in financial analysis techniques and advanced financial modeling.
- Deep and specialized understanding of financial planning and analysis, including advanced proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Mastery of Excel, including the ability to build and maintain complex spreadsheets.
- Experience with NetSuite Planning and Budgeting, or similar financial planning tool
- Deep experience with the three major financial statements and a deep understanding of P&L components and unit economics.
- Comfort working with C-suite executives and presenting financial information to senior executives.
- Leadership and mentoring skills.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex financial insights to leadership and various stakeholders.
- Strong personal integrity and work ethic.

Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive structure in addition to base salary.
