Adult Protective Services (APS) Investigation Supervisor - Region 4: Southeast Indiana   Summary:   SSO is hiring Investigation Supervisors to support the State of Indiana Family & Social Services Administration. This role will supervise others who Investigate allegations of abuse, neglect, and exploitation involving endangered adults.   This role does require on-site investigations. Travel may be required within the following counties: Delaware, Henry, Madison, Randolph, Hancock, Johnson, Shelby, Morgan, Bartholomew, Brown, Decatur, Jackson, Jennings, Dearborn, Fayette, Franklin, Jefferson, Ohio, Ripley, Rush, Switzerland, Union, Wayne     Responsibilities:   Trains, coaches, and manages APS Investigation staff: complete weekly reviews, annual evaluations, and performance management   Monitors staff’s progress, accuracy, and productivity in the investigation and service planning processes   Support the Investigation process through recommendation of process improvements based on data and team input   Evaluate Investigation work product to assess for proper application of tools and adherence to protocols   Engage in community partnership development and relationship building to strengthen the support network to APS clients   Initiate filing protective services orders for clients   Completes quality assurance reviews for APS activities.    Skills and Qualifications:   Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate staff   Display professionalism and respect for cultural differences   Ability to foster teamwork with all levels of management and staff   Experienced with developing collaborative case strategies and communicating with investigative and healthcare agencies   Experienced in planning and conducting complex investigations of abuse, neglect, and exploitation   Ability to define problems, analyze alternatives, and recommend solutions to difficult   Investigative problems or issues   Must be computer literate and have MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet skills.   Superior verbal and written communication skills   Strong decision-making skills, with accuracy and attention to detail   2+ years of supervisory experience is preferred 2+ years of experience with adult protective services, investigatory, social services, human services, or law enforcement work      Education:   Bachelor’s degree preferred  The usual work schedule is full-time: Monday through Friday during regular business hours. Though this role is virtual, you are expected to have local travel up to 50% of the time.
