Salary Range: $50,000 to $65,000

 

The University of St. Thomas has provided a salary range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The specific salary offered will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information.

 

The Graduate Admissions Recruiter plays a key role in attracting, engaging, and enrolling prospective graduate students across an assigned portfolio of graduate programs. The Recruiter builds meaningful relationships with prospective students, provides personalized guidance throughout the admissions process, and proactively supports students as they move from application through enrollment.

 

Working closely with the Assistant Director of Graduate Admissions, Graduate Recruitment Coordinator, academic programs, and Marketing, the Recruiter executes targeted recruitment strategies designed to achieve program and University enrollment goals. The Recruiter uses Salesforce and other enrollment tools to manage prospective student relationships, prioritize outreach, monitor funnel progression, and identify opportunities to strengthen student engagement and enrollment outcomes.

 

Prospective Student Recruitment & Funnel Management

  • Manage an assigned portfolio of prospective graduate students, with primary responsibility for students from application through enrollment.
  • Build relationships with prospective students through personalized, timely, and proactive communication across phone, email, text, virtual, and in-person channels.
  • Advise prospective students on graduate program options, admissions requirements, application processes, financial considerations, and next steps.
  • Proactively move students through the recruitment and admissions funnel, identifying barriers and implementing appropriate strategies to improve application completion, confirmation, and enrollment.
  • Collaborate with college and program student support teams to support yield efforts and ensure a seamless transition for students from admission into the enrolled student experience.
  • Maintain responsibility for individual recruitment and enrollment goals within assigned programs.
  • Partner with the Graduate Recruitment Coordinator to ensure seamless transition of application-ready prospects and inquiries into recruiter-managed pipelines.

Recruitment Strategy, CRM & Portfolio Management

  • Partner with the Assistant Director of Graduate Admissions to develop and execute recruitment strategies for assigned programs based on enrollment goals, funnel performance, market conditions, and program priorities.
  • Use Salesforce reports, dashboards, tasks, and other tools to actively manage prospective student pipelines, prioritize outreach, and monitor progress toward enrollment goals.
  • Monitor application, completion, admission, confirmation, and enrollment activity within assigned programs and identify opportunities for targeted intervention.
  • Maintain accurate and timely prospective student records and recruitment activity within Salesforce.
  • Stay current on assigned programs, industry and graduate enrollment trends, and competitor offerings to effectively position St. Thomas programs with prospective students.

Recruitment Outreach, Events & Collaboration

  • Build strong working relationships with faculty, academic programs, Marketing, and other University partners to effectively recruit students within assigned programs.
  • Plan and participate in in-person and virtual prospective student events, information sessions, webinars, and other recruitment activities.
  • Represent St. Thomas at external recruitment fairs, events, presentations, and other outreach opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities for new recruitment activities, partnerships, or outreach strategies and collaborate with the Assistant Director on implementation.
  • Collaborate with the Assistant Director of Strategic Partnerships as appropriate to support prospective students and enrollment opportunities generated through corporate and employer partnerships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Two years of experience in recruitment, admissions, sales, customer relationship management, or a related field
  • Experience working in a goal-oriented environment required
  • Experience in higher education admissions, graduate recruitment, consultative sales, and CRM systems such as Salesforce
