As a PostgreSQL Database Administrator, You Will: Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain PostgreSQL database environments across development, testing, and production systems. Monitor database performance, availability, and health to ensure optimal system reliability and stability. Implement and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies to protect critical business data. Perform database performance tuning and optimization to improve efficiency, scalability, and response times. Ensure database security, compliance, and data integrity through the implementation of best practices and governance standards. Develop, maintain, and automate scripts for database administration, monitoring, maintenance, and operational activities. Collaborate with application development teams to support database design, architecture, and performance requirements. Manage database access controls, user roles, permissions, and security policies. Troubleshoot and resolve database-related incidents, performance bottlenecks, and operational issues. Support database migrations, upgrades, patching, and infrastructure modernization initiatives. Implement monitoring solutions and proactively identify potential risks and performance concerns. Maintain database documentation, operational procedures, and support knowledge repositories. Participate in capacity planning and growth forecasting activities to support business expansion. Ensure adherence to enterprise operational, security, and compliance standards. What You Bring to the Table: 4–8 years of experience in PostgreSQL database administration and support. Strong expertise in PostgreSQL installation, configuration, upgrade, and maintenance activities. Hands-on experience monitoring and optimizing PostgreSQL database performance. Proven experience implementing backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery solutions. Strong understanding of database security, user management, access controls, and data protection practices. Experience developing scripts for automation, monitoring, and database maintenance activities. Knowledge of database architecture, data modeling, and performance optimization techniques. Experience troubleshooting complex database issues in production environments. Understanding of high-availability, replication, and business continuity solutions. Familiarity with Linux-based environments and database infrastructure management. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with technical and business stakeholders. Experience working within enterprise-scale database environments.
