Have a minimum of 5 years’ Senior Primary class teaching experience in a similar environment to St John’s D.S.G.
Have at least 2 years’ experience teaching Senior Primary Art (advantageous).
Have a strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate pedagogy.
Be warm, engaging, resilient, honest, genuine, empathetic and kind.
Have excellent teamwork, communication and collaboration skills.
Have strong values that align to the Christian ethos of the school.
Have a Bachelor of Education, specialising in Intermediate Phase, or a similar 4-year Intermediate Phase qualification.
Be completely fluent in English.
Have a high level of computer competency and be willing to learn new systems.
Have a clear criminal clearance certificate.
Be SACE registered.
