StubHub is on a mission to redefine the live event experience on a global scale. Whether someone is looking to attend their first event or their hundredth, we’re here to delight them all the way from the moment they start looking for a ticket until they step through the gate. The same goes for our sellers. From fans selling a single ticket to the promoters of a worldwide stadium tour, we want StubHub to be the safest, most convenient way to offer a ticket to the millions of fans who browse our platform around the world.

The Fulfillment team ensures that every ticket delivered is valid. We own the post-purchase flow; including barcode integrations, mobile wallets, partner APIs, inventory reconciliation, observability, and incident response, with a mission of zero fulfillment breakage and a seamless experience for fans and sellers.

As an Software Engineer II, you’ll build end-to-end post-purchase flows, partner integrations that directly drive reliability improvements and measurable business impact at massive scale.

What You'll Do:
  • Design, implement, and operate backend services and integrations powering the post-purchase fulfillment pipeline (barcode validation, mobile wallets, partner APIs, & inventory reconciliation).
  • Build 0-to-1 fault-tolerant systems and async pipelines (queues/streaming) that scale for peak event traffic and ensure idempotent, reliable delivery.
  • Own features end-to-end: from requirements and architecture to implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and runbooks.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Data, and QA, as well as two Operations partners:
    • Active Support: enhances the post-purchase customer experience and builds tools for fans and support agents.
    • Marketplace Operations: drives inventory quality and supply across events.
  • Instrument services with robust observability: metrics, logs, distributed traces, and alerting to proactively detect and reduce fulfillment breakage.
  • Fast-Paced, Ambiguous Engineering Culture: Thrive in an environment that encourages bold experimentation, rapid iteration, and innovative problem-solving.
  • Exposure to AI-Driven Experiences: Work on real-world products that integrate AI-powered functionality, shaping the way fans interact with our platform.
  • Meaningful Product Impact: Build the technological backbone of our marketplace, delivering reliable, scalable systems that power millions of ticket transactions and directly reduce post-purchase failures.
  • Collaborative Engineering Environment: Join a team of talented engineers who value thoughtful execution, shared ownership, and celebrating wins together.
  • Continuous Feedback and Growth: Enjoy a culture centered on regular, constructive feedback to refine your technical skills, deepen your product judgment, and grow as an engineer.
