Director of Equipment Planning and Procurement - Nashville Hybrid / Remote Surrounding Areas

• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred
• Minimum of 10 years of ASC procurement experience, including at least 5 years at the Director level or higher, with demonstrated expertise in ASC equipment budgeting, planning, and procurement
• Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate across enterprise-level departments
• Proficiency in MS Office and procurement software, with practical experience developing and managing project work plans and workflows
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple deadlines simultaneously and with a strong sense of urgency

• Mobility required to navigate various facility conditions and activities during the setup phase
• Primarily office-based environment with occasional exposure to patient care areas
• Ability to travel up to 50%

• →Lead development of de novo equipment and supply budgets and oversee the planning, purchase, or lease of all equipment, furniture, medical instruments, and supplies
• →Manage, monitor, and forecast equipment budgets; identify cost variances and implement procurement strategies to remain aligned with approved project capital plans
• →Participate in internal and external design, construction, and project meetings to provide updates and ensure project coordination
• →Coordinate and manage the overall furnish-and-install FF&E matrix with key project stakeholders
• →Lead coordination between fixed equipment vendors and architects during schematic design (SD) and design development (DD) phases
• →Develop and manage vendor relationships to ensure competitive pricing, reliable delivery, and strong service performance
• →Review and provide guidance on equipment proposals, purchase orders, and invoices to ensure alignment with GPO and Surgery Partners contracts
• →Partner with physician end users to evaluate equipment options, balancing clinical preferences with enterprise standards to support informed selection decisions
• →Establish delivery schedules for start-up equipment, furniture, medical and non-medical supplies, and pharmaceuticals; coordinate deliveries with project timelines, including warehousing when necessary
• →Coordinate equipment installation, commissioning, end-user training, and operational handoff to clinical and facility teams
• →Oversee vendor and GPO credentialing, credit applications, and required documentation
• →Manage multiple projects simultaneously across various stages of development
• →Provide troubleshooting support and coordinate resolution of equipment and procurement issues throughout the project lifecycle
