POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a Senior Reliability Engineer to provide technical leadership in improving the reliability, availability, and maintainability of critical building systems, infrastructure, and facility assets across life sciences and research environments. This role is responsible for advancing the Reliability Engineering Program through the optimization of CMMS processes, maintenance planning, asset management, and data-driven reliability initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in reliability engineering, maintenance strategy development, and CMMS administration, with a strong understanding of critical facility systems supporting laboratory, research, manufacturing, and GMP-regulated operations. This individual will partner closely with Facilities, Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, Quality, and external service providers to improve asset performance, reduce unplanned downtime, and drive continuous improvement across the maintenance and reliability lifecycle.
Success in this role requires a hands-on technical leader who can effectively combine reliability engineering principles, maintenance planning, CMMS optimization, and operational excellence to support uninterrupted facility operations and long-term asset performance.
This position is internally classified as a Facilities Engineer and will have a primary focus on reliability engineering.
WORK LOCATION
Travel to client sites may be required based on project phase and business needs.

- Lead reliability assessments, root cause investigations, failure analysis, and corrective action efforts for critical facility and infrastructure systems.
- Own and maintain the CMMS platform, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of asset records, preventive maintenance schedules, work order data, equipment documentation, and reporting.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance strategies based on equipment criticality and reliability risk.
- Analyze equipment performance, downtime trends, maintenance history, and reliability metrics to identify improvement opportunities and drive asset performance.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities in alignment with asset criticality, resource availability, and operational priorities.
- Develop and maintain maintenance planning processes, work management workflows, and maintenance performance reporting.
- Support execution of condition monitoring programs, including vibration analysis, infrared thermography, oil analysis, utility monitoring, and other predictive maintenance techniques.
- Perform and facilitate FMEA, Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM), Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), and asset criticality assessments.
- Partner with Engineering, Facilities, Maintenance, and Operations teams to optimize maintenance programs, spare parts strategies, equipment lifecycle management, and reliability initiatives.
- Support new equipment installations, facility expansion projects, commissioning, qualification, and startup activities from a reliability and maintainability perspective.
- Generate and communicate reliability scorecards, PM compliance metrics, work order performance indicators, shared utility uptime metrics, and other key performance measures.
- Author and maintain SOPs, maintenance procedures, technical work instructions, and reliability program documentation.
- Ensure maintenance and reliability strategies align with safety, regulatory, GMP, and site operational requirements.
- Serve as a technical subject matter expert and provide guidance to maintenance personnel, engineers, and cross-functional project teams.
